Built on South Congress, one good dog at a time.
Howdy Hound started with a simple frustration: it was too hard to find honest food and a straight answer about it. So we opened a small shop on South Congress, stocked the things we would feed our own animals, and learned the labels cold so we could explain them.
We are family-run and proud of it. The same faces are behind the register most days, the same dogs nap behind the counter, and the advice comes from people who have lived with picky eaters, sensitive stomachs, and power chewers of their own.
These days we deliver across central Austin too, but the heart of it is the same. Come in, bring your dog, ask us anything. We are here for the long haul, and so is your pet.

Mon–Sat 9am – 7pm · Sun 10am – 5pm. Leashed pups always welcome, with treats waiting at the register.
